Answers to the questions we get most often about the LUME Glide.
The LUME Glide is a precision-engineered bifold that brings traditional leather craftsmanship and modern utility together.
Built around a micro-blasted anodised aluminium chassis and finished in Italian Walpier Buttero leather, Glide carries up to 11 cards and folded notes, with magnetic closure and quick card access built into a considered, compact form.
Familiar in principle. Rethought in every detail.Yes. The LUME Glide includes a dedicated compartment for folded notes, keeping cash separate from your cards and neatly contained within the bifold.
Designed for the cash you carry, without unnecessary bulk.Yes. LUME Glide is designed with RFID protection across both the aluminium chassis and the leather bifold sections, helping shield compatible cards from unwanted contactless scanning.
Protection, built in by design.No. The Glide’s closure magnets are positioned away from your cards and are designed to keep the wallet securely closed without affecting them.
Contactless cards can be used normally once removed from the wallet. The LUME Glide is currently being engineered around a compact 98 mm × 69.7 mm footprint, with a target profile of approximately 16 mm unloaded and up to 20 mm fully loaded, depending on card thickness and configuration.
Exact final dimensions will be established following production engineering and validation.
Designed to carry what you need, without unnecessary bulk.Walpier Buttero a full-grain, vegetable-tanned leather produced in Tuscany, Italy.
Chosen for its structure, smooth natural finish and the way it develops character over time. It begins firm and refined, then gradually softens and develops a distinctive patina through use.
It is leather designed to age, not wear out.
Walpier is a Tuscan tannery known for its Buttero vegetable-tanned leather valued for its structure, consistency and ability to develop a rich patina over time.
The traditional vegetable-tanning process gives Buttero its distinctive firmness and natural character. Rather than simply showing wear, the leather gradually changes with use, becoming uniquely yours.
We chose it because the material gets better with ownership.Yes and that’s the point.
Vegetable-tanned Buttero develops a patina unique to the way you use it. Contact with your hands, light and everyday carry gradually changes the tone and character of the leather.
No two Glides will age exactly the same. We consider that a feature, not a flaw. The Glide is built around a precision-machined aluminium chassis, micro-blasted and anodised for a refined, durable finish.
Aluminium gives the Glide the balance we wanted: rigidity, low weight, corrosion resistance and exceptional machining precision without unnecessary material or mass.
The final production alloy will be confirmed following engineering validation.
We chose aluminium because it is the right material for the object not for the story.
Very little is required.
Wipe the aluminium with a soft, dry cloth when needed. For the leather, simply keep it clean and allow its natural patina to develop with use.
Avoid prolonged exposure to water, excessive heat and harsh cleaning products. If the leather becomes wet, gently blot away excess moisture and allow it to dry naturally.
If conditioning is ever required, use a small amount of a neutral conditioner suitable for vegetable-tanned leather, testing first on an inconspicuous area as some products may darken the leather.
The Glide is designed to be used, not fussed over.
Yes. The Glide’s slim profile makes it comfortable to carry in either a front or back pocket. We recommend a front pocket for everyday carry it keeps the Glide secure, easily accessible, and avoids unnecessarily sitting on your wallet for long periods.
The Glide is designed to go wherever you do.
The LUME Glide carries a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. This covers the aluminium construction, magnetic closure, card mechanism, and defects in materials or workmanship.
Natural changes to the leather including patina, subtle darkening, and marks that develop through everyday use are part of the character of full-grain vegetable-tanned leather and are not considered manufacturing defects.
If your Glide develops a fault covered by the warranty, we’ll make it right.
